TITLE: A STEP AHEAD TOWARDS QUALITY EDUCATION…. An endeavour towards quality
OBJECTIVES OF THE PRACTICE:
- To comprehend the new online format of NAAC and diligently strive for achieving a commendable grade.
- To support and assist nearby higher education institutions in Gujarat with the NAAC accreditation process.
- Organizing national seminars at the institute to offer guidance on the updated online NAAC accreditation format.
- Engaging with local higher education institutions to share insights on enhancing quality education.
- Providing guidance to the staff of other colleges through visits to this institute.
- Traveling to various colleges across the country to adopt and implement best practices for the enhancement of quality education.
THE CONTEXT:
In enhancing the quality of higher education institutions, the NAAC accreditation process plays a crucial role. As the institution embarks on its second cycle of NAAC accreditation, Principal Dr. P.C. Brahmbhatt and the entire Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) have chosen to approach this process as a celebration. They have resolved to engage all stakeholders throughout the accreditation journey to foster a sense of connection and pride in the institution. Achieving a B grade ( 2.11 CGPA) in the first cycle of NAAC accreditation has heightened awareness of quality education among management, staff, and students. To further promote and elevate the standard of education in the region and benefit society at large, the institution has committed to offering support and guidance regarding NAAC accreditation to nearby colleges. The Principal and IQAC coordinator have decided to act as mentors to these surrounding higher education institutions, sharing their experiences with the accreditation process and encouraging collaborative efforts to enhance the quality of higher education.
THE PRACTICE:
- Initially, in accordance with the NAAC criteria, committees were established. Each committee was tasked with focusing on its specific criteria. Comprehensive data regarding the organization's details and activities was gathered, analyzed, and effectively presented in the NAAC Self Study Report.
- The IQAC compiled the necessary information and documentation as outlined in the Qualitative and Quantitative Metrics for each criterion and submitted these online through the NAAC portal.
- Following the submission of the SSR, both staff and students at the institute began preparations for the NAAC peer team's visit, with strong support from the management.
- The institute conducted a training workshop for staff on how to engage with the Peer Team, while the IQAC also provided training for students in anticipation of the visit.
- The Peer Team subsequently visited the institute and conducted a thorough evaluation, resulting in the institute achieving a B grade (2.11 CGPA).
- Throughout the accreditation process, all employees gained valuable insights into the implementation of quality education within higher education institutions.
- To foster, promote, and educate nearby higher education institutions about the NAAC accreditation process, the activities undertaken by the institution were shared.
- Additionally, there are plans to visit various colleges to adopt and implement best practices observed at those institutions for enhancing the quality of education.
EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS:
- This organization, situated in a rural setting, has significantly improved its standing through exceptional accreditation performance. This achievement has positively influenced the management, Principal, staff, and students of the institute, thereby enhancing its reputation within the community.
- Numerous colleges and Principals, IQAC Coordinators, and educators have benefited from our initiatives aimed at improving quality education by promoting the NAAC Accreditation Process.
- Principal Dr. P. C. Brahmbhatt was honored for her leadership in attaining a B Grade (2.11 CGPA) on having success in NAAC accreditation.

PROBLEMS AND RESOURCES REQUIRED
Problem- Numerous colleges frequently sought the guidance of the NAAC. If all these institutions were regularly visited for assistance, it could pose challenges for our college students in their academic pursuits.
Resolutions-
- Lectures and seminars were conducted under the guidance of NAAC across various colleges to ensure that the academic pursuits of our students remain uninterrupted.
- Additionally, the IQAC teams from several colleges received direct guidance on the NAAC process through in-person visits to the institution.

TITLE: … THE CONSERVATION OF THE GARDEN…An endeavour to save environment
OBJECTIVES OF THE PRACTICE:
- Effective utilization of the institute's underutilized land.
- Enhancing the institute's ecosystem by planting trees and fostering a connection between students and nature.
- Safeguarding various endangered plant and tree species.
- Creating and sustaining a garden that serves as a habitat for birds and wildlife.
- Transforming the park into a significant environmental hub.
- Implementing water conservation strategies by constructing farm ponds within the garden.
- Offering nature-based classes for students.
THE CONTEXT:
The institute encompasses unproductive yet fertile land. Dr. P. C. Brahmbhatt, the Principal of the institute, envisioned transforming this fertile land into an expansive Garden. Her proposal received management approval, turning the project into a flagship initiative for the institution. To facilitate this endeavor, substantial campus walls will be constructed to protect the trees, along with the installation of tubewells for irrigation. The management has allocated a budget to demonstrate its commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
THE PRACTICE:
- Previously unused land was cleared and leveled
- For the development of the garden, the management team provided both organizational and financial support, as well as the donation support.
- Under the guidance of the experts, various plant species based on their growth needs were planted.
- With the dedication and assistance of employees, students, teachers, and the work of developing a college garden succeeded.
EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS:
- Plantation and conservation trees successfully.
- Remarkable tree growth observed since a long period of time.
- A variety of tree production has commenced, attracting numerous bird species to the garden.
- With the conservation of the garden, an endeavour is made to make the atmosphere pollution-free within the institution.
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED:
- Problem: Leveling the land and planting the trees.
- Resolution: We utilized advanced machines to level the land and hired the experts for the plantation of the various species of the plants
- Problem: Growing trees in higher temperatures of summer was challenging. Continuous watering is essential for plant survival.
- Resolution: We hired one full-time gardener dedicated to the continuous watering of the plants.
